5 Million ‘Gmail Passwords’ Leaked, But Most Are ‘OLD’

If you’ve used a Gmail password that’s unique from other accounts, you might be safe. Even though it is recommended to change the password. A list of 5 million combinations of Gmail addresses and passwords was posted online on Tuesday.

The list was posted on a Russian Bitcoin forum on Tuesday evening, and medias started reporting on it on Wednesday. We can’t say the source is authentic. Some of the medias says the passwords are taken from other site where the users used gmail id and password as login credentials.

As always the password reuse is the problem caused the leaking. You can use https://isleaked.com/en#sthash.4ScRUUnp.dpuf to check whether your account is in the list or not.

Or you can download the list form here.
